i've been working my tail off for who knows how long now. i was going to go ask my boss today when the soonest is i could take some vacation time. i wanted to tell the wife she could take that trip with her mom that she's wanted, w/o having to find a sitter. then around comes 11:00. here comes a coworker and says that the boss wants to take our whole dept to lunch @ noon. at 11:30, i find out that there has been a corporate restructure, at the request of the board, and most of our dept, along with who knows how many others got laid off. no vacation for me.
so, i'm back on the unemployed-hoping-to-be-employed market.
